Currently, Bitcoin hovers just above $72,000, with Ethereum resting at $4,022. Notably, Solana (SOL) exhibits strength today, surpassing both major cryptocurrencies to reach above $151, potentially marking a new year-to-date high. Conversely, prominent meme coins experienced a slight retreat, with WIF and PEPE seeing losses of 10-15%, while smaller coins attracted attention. Transitioning from market capitalizations of $2-3 billion to $4-6 billion poses a considerable challenge for major cryptocurrencies, and only time will reveal whether this marks a peak or if there's more room for growth.

The trouble for Ethereum was following the momentum that Bitcoin was having.

They remained the top blockchain for NFT sales over the last 7 days but this may just be down to those selling up due to the recent price boom.

The reason for their feature in this section is down to one thing and one thing only.

For the first time since 2021, the price has shot up through the $4000 barrier.

They hit their 1 year low back in September at $1523 and at the time of writing, the price sits at $4070

With the ETH ETF hopefully not too far away, let’s hope 10k is next!

Back in 2017 Bill Gates said he would short Bitcoin if he could as “Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are kind of a pure, greater fool theory, type of investment.

Well Bill, since you said this, Bitcoin is up 800% so his position would have been liquidated pretty quickly.
