Following a rally in the crypto markets we have seen a significant pullback as traders take profits. Today CPI data (Consumer Price Index) will be released at 13.30GMT, in simple terms, this is a marker of inflation & essentially the price it costs to live day to day.

Inflation is expected to cool off and if the US announces between 6-6.3% it should fuel a rally in the stock market, if this happens then normally the crypto markets will follow. 

Generally, if inflation cools off, it will spark more confidence in the markets for investors. It's hard to say how this will affect the NFT markets as traditionally with Crypto rallies we have often seen pullbacks in NFT land. 

From our perspective, increased confidence in Crypto will undoubtedly have a positive effect on NFTs price action, just maybe not instantly. 

Our advice remains the same, in these conditions bet on builders, founders & teams with long-term visions and sustainable execution. You can't go wrong. 

When the market becomes more frothy, you can afford to make riskier plays.

Top French Art Museum To Display NFTs

A top French Art Museum, The Centre Pompidou, will be showcasing NFTs at their upcoming summer exhibition.

The announcement confirmed that a collection from 13 artists will be displayed as well as CryptoPunk #110 and Autoglyph #25, both donated to the museum. 

This is a very positive move not only for mass adoption but for the general acceptance that digital art can be appreciated side by side with some of the most famous pieces in the world.

DigiDaigaku Superbowl Advert

In case you forgot who they are, DigiDaigaku, is a project that was minted for free back in August and boomed to a floor price of 15 ETH.

The project followed up its summer success with an advert during Sunday's Superbowl, paying $6.5m for the pleasure. 

The advert (which can be viewed here) did not go fully as planned. 

The QR code which was displayed at the end of the advert led some users to one of the founder's Twitter pages instead of the mint site. 

Some lucky users were able to get to the mint site and claim their free NFT where some sold on the secondary market for around 0.5 ETH ($700.00) - not bad for pushing a few buttons.

There was quite a lot of volume that followed throughout the game and the floor price was rising and falling along with the Eagles' chances.

Quite a far distance from last year's Superbowl which was dominated by Web3 commercials, guess we have FTX to thank for the lack displayed this year.

VISA Crypto Cards Are Coming

2023 may be the year of mass adoption and VISA are certainly playing its part. 

It's been announced that VISA will be launching a Bitcoin and Crypto card in the UK and 40 other countries. 

In the announcement, VISA stated that "they want to bring more payment options to consumers by connecting digital currencies with their network of banks and merchants. They want to make it easy and seamless for people to spend their crypto balance at the millions of merchants that accept VISA"

This isn't the only move VISA has announced as at the time, the company filed trademarks for crypto wallets and the metaverse.

Those that have been with us for a while will know how bullish we are on BLUR due to the core functions of the marketplace.
