• We are officially out of the GREED zone & into NEUTRAL as far as sentiment goes. As mentioned in the last issue, corrections are needed for a sustainable bull cycle, but that doesn’t stop Crypto twitter folk from losing their shit. What we are witnessing now is good, you don’t have to follow us, but we will be buying into this market very soon.

• No difference longer term, we know the direction we are heading in the mid-long term. Higher. Right now, treat it as a flash sale.

  Bitcoin

• The $40k defense has been broken, we currently sit in the high 30’s. ($39K), $37.5K needs to hold here, or we likely dip down to $34-35K quite quickly. The drawdown we have just witnessed from $48.5k is a substantial correction of 20%. Whilst a dip lower may occur, right now is your perfect buy zone.

  Bitcoin dominance

• The recent retrace in BTC has meant dominance has taken an uptick, as people flock to a ‘Safer’ Haven within crypto. That being said, we expect Dominance to fall soon, delivering Alt season.

  ETH/BTC

• ETH has performed similarly against Bitcoin, both being down around 3% in the last 7 days. But when looking at the charts ETH/BTC is holding strong. We need to see how Bitcoin performs & importantly bitcoin's dominance holds in the coming days.

  Ethereum/ALTS

• ETH has dropped against Bitcoin as some traders move into BTC. Some high-quality Alts are down 50% from their highs, once they reclaim their Christmas 2023 prices, that’s a 100% gain already. Time to shop.

Greyscale Offloads - Hopefully the end of the FTX saga.

• Greyscale has had an unprecedented $2.14bn Bitcoin sell-off.

• The bleeding of the fund was the opposite for the other ETF providers which saw the opposite movement in decent inflows.

• The offloading has been put down to several factors, Greyscale having the highest fees, traders exiting their positions to cash-in gains but most importantly, FTX’s bankruptcy estate dumping 22 million shares.

• The shares were worth close to $1bn so this accounts for almost 50% of the sell-off.

🕵️ Scoops take: 

There are plenty of positives to take from this despite the knock-on dip in the price of Bitcoin.

Not only will this hopefully be the final involvement that FTX has on our lives but more importantly…where we head from here!

Theory tells us that now the shares have been sold, the selling pressure is massively reduced as bankruptcy is such a unique event.

We think this may be the last bottom before the boom that the long-term holds.

Remember, the downside from this has been roughly 15%, the long-term upside is hopefully 250%

Patience is a virtue that you must possess in these times.

• Global crypto users increased by 34% in 2023.

• According to a report from crypto.com, the increased user count was 432m users in January 2023 to 580m users in December 2023.

• Bitcoin holders make up 51% of all cryptocurrency holders.
