• The news was shared at NFT.NYC with the launch expected for later in 2023.

• The Ethereum based marketplace will be dedicated to photography.

• It will feature initial drops of photo collections and a secondary marketplace.

This isn't the camera giants' first taste of the NFT world. They dipped their lense in the water back in July 2022 within the Solana ecosystem. They clearly enjoyed their visit as this is a real statement of intent that we are fully behind.  With the launch only taking place only in the United States, we are still bullish that this move will pave the way for more Web2 giants to come across.  

🗞️ TRUMP STRIKES GOLD FROM NFTS

• The former President has made between $100,001 and $1m from his collection.

• The figures were released as part of financial disclosure.

• The 45,000 item collection sold out in 1 day

His peers ridiculed him for launching the collection, but it's safe to say he is having the last laugh now. The floor is in a strong position sitting at 0.42 ETH with over 13,600 ETH of trading volume. Considering the cost to mint was $99, despite the bear market, you are still looking at a 10x profit. With the financial gain made, he may hold a positive influence in the future of the space. 

🗞️ NFT WHALE RETIRES FOLLOWING PONZI SCHEME DUPE

• FranklinIsBored was forced to sell the majority of his BAYC collection.

• He got rug pulled on an investment worth just under 2000 ETH ($4m)

• His account now holds just 2 Apes.

As one of the most well-known whales in the NFT space, it's a horrendous way to bow out. His activities over the years have seen him hit the headlines, be a weekly winner and REKT. Despite the eye-watering sum that has been lost, a scheme of this nature can really happen to anybody not just the whales, the only difference is the sums.

• The phone named "Saga" is designed specifically for Web3 applications.

• The phone will run on the Android operating system.

A massive criticism of the space has been the lack of functions on the go, the majority of activity had to be on laptops/computers. This has improved recently with the improvements to OpenSea, MetaMask, Coinbase, etc, but this new product to market could be a game changer. We have seen similar attempts in the past not really take off, so if this is marketed well, they could be set to dominate. 

🗞️ UK CREATES NEW DEPARTMENT FOR WEB3 STRATEGY

• The department will advance the country's Metaverse and Web3 strategy.

• The Prime Minister maintains he wants the UK to be a "Crypto Hub"

• The focus will be on concepts within the Metaverse and Web3 as opposed to Blockchain specific.

The UK has been in a roundabout about all things regarding Web3. From wanting to be the "Crypto Hub" to threatening tough laws with banks no longer willing to play ball with customers, Frankly, it's been a whirlwind. The only positive we can see with this is that there is a desire to ensure the UK doesn't get left behind but given the previous failings, we aren't holding our breath.

Irony and hypocrisy clearly don't matter to the SEC.

Videos have been surfacing of Gensler promoting Algorand for years but now from the comfort of his office, he is trying to call it a security. 

So just to get the picture clear, the current Chairman of the SEC has been promoting unregistered securities.

Kim Kardashian may want to have a word given the $1.26m fine she received but we somehow don't envisage Gensler suing himself.
