Tesla Dumps 75% of its Bitcoin for $936m

Just as J.P Morgan suggest the extreme bear market conditions should be behind us…… Tesla in their Q2 2022 shareholder's deck stated that 75% of the Company’s Bitcoin holding has been sold……flooding the market.

The $1.5bn investment made in February 2021 was sold for $936m on Wednesday 20th July to free up cash to make up for production shutdowns in China.

The company has held on to their Dogecoin investment which Musk is being sued for.

With almost $17bn in revenue generated in Q2 we aren’t feeling sorry for their cash flow right now…..especially as Musk parties on a yacht!

Senior US Government Officials May Have To Disclose NFT Investments

Ever wondered what Top US Government Officials mint and trade in their spare time ….. well we might just find out.

During a press release by The United States Office of Government Ethics they propose that all NFT investments valued at $1,000 and above should be reported.

It is further proposed that if these senior US authorities officers made $200 or more from NFTs, they have to inform the federal company.

A questionnaire (image below) will be used to assist in the declarations.

More importantly, what do you reckon the President himself is holding?…… We can see him being a Crypto Dickbutts kind of guy.

Despite a hard market, there has been a slight drop in the floor price but the performance over the last 7 days has been terrific.

The Floor sat at 1.09 ETH and grew to 2.6 ETH before levelling off at 2.25 ETH.

With only 5.96% of the collection for sale, the community is holding firm on this one!

Franklin…..welcome to REKT

We have mentioned that opportunity lies in ENS domains…..well unfortunately there has been a huge ENS domain mistake.

The story starts with Franklin purchasing ENS name "stop-doing-fake-bids-its-honestly-lame-my-guy.eth," which he then bid on with 100 ETH from his main wallet.

It was clear he was banking on a Bot to snap it up for the grand total of $156,100.00.

However Franklin decided to sell the domain for 1.9 ETH.

Then disaster strikes…..Franklin forgot to cancel his outstanding 100 ETH bid, and then was shocked to discover that the user who had purchased the domain from him had accepted the 100ETH offer.

Thankfully, Franklin has seen the humorous side of the ordeal….he took to twitter to share that “This will be the joke and bag fumble of the century. I deserve all of the jokes and criticism.”

If this were us we wouldn’t be so welcoming of the jokes….but then again we don’t have 58 Bored Apes!

The Market Update 📊

Market Overview

Back to the bear market trend….ETH goes up NFT’s go down….. as usual we can’t have it both ways!

The % of projects with decreased listings dipped the hardest at the start of the week but has since recovered…..maybe we all enjoyed the heatwave and decided to go outside.

With ETH rising and the market being down for the week it’s been a good week to unleash those ETH gains….as the chart shows the % of projects with increased floors rose sharply on the 20th July….well done to the bulls who were raring to go!

Market Mood ❄

NFT market mood is still in the chill zone! At least the Ice cream is staying cool. We have seen rises from the lows of 22. Someone take the market on holiday.

Hot upcoming project 🔥

EZU XYZ

EZU XYZ is launching soon. It’s the sister project of the mysterious but widely popular Psychedelics Anonymous led by Voltura one of the most respected leaders in the space and people are pining after a whitelist spot.

Whilst Psychedelics have a huge fan base and strong community, they haven’t yet reached the dizzy heights of top blue chips status. Our prediction is that EZU will take learnings from what worked & what didn’t with Psychedelics. The team are certainly builders. We think the chances of success are strong with this one.

Let’s take a look at what dropped this week! Odd may be an understatement.

First up its… Moonbirds Oddities

The Oddities revealed this week. There have been mixed reviews on the look of the Oddities, but overall they have been well received. They are themed very similarly to their Moonbird counterpart. Another interesting note is that they were designed by the popular NFT artist Gremplin, the artist behind Cryptoadz. As predicted in our last newsletter, post-reveal the Oddities would sit between 1.5ETH-2.3ETH. They currently sit at a Floor of 1.8ETH. Given the current price of ETH we feel this a great price to enter the Proof ecosystem and would be a medium to long-term hold. It doesn’t stop there, the little critters come with some great utility.

Next up it’s Potatoz. 🥔

Potatoz is the latest airdrop from the 9GAG Memeland ecosystem. By holding ‘You are the real MVP’ NFT, a collection of “420 legendary MVPs from Memeland” you were blessed with the airdrop of Potatoz.

Potatoz is currently pre-reveal. In classic NFT fashion, what you can see currently is a pile of shit being watered by a watering can… literally.

They are topping the charts on NFT volume at the time of writing, I guess the meme is the message. Given the current Floor price of “We are the real MVP” is 23ETH it’s clear these guys are going places. At just 0.6ETH we feel they are a strong buy. Just look at their roster of advisors… Let us tell you it’s off the chain. It includes Naval Ravikant, Tim Ferris, Hype Beast and Kevin Rose (Proof founder) to name a few.

We are excited to see how these guys reveal. The project is full of intrigue. We are bullish.
