• Holders of the Gucci Material NFT are to be offered the chance of physical pieces from the company.

• Teasers have been shared where holders will be able to trade in their NFT for a physical bag or wallet at no extra cost.

• The physical items will only be available to those who own the NFT, which was initially airdropped to holders of the Gucci Grail NFT.

• There are 2896 in circulation with a floor price of 0.29 ETH.

One way to build a strong community and credit from the outside is to act in such a way that Gucci is.

They are showing acknowledgment to early investors as well as setting a benchmark of how projects can be successful in moving from Web2 to Web3.

Early investors that were airdropped the Material NFT are now receiving a unique piece from one of the most luxurious fashion companies in the world and those that choose to sell instead of trading in the NFT can fetch a tidy 0.29 ETH.

Grahams Launches NFT

• One of the largest Port Wine producers in the world, Grahams, is entering the NFT space.

• They will be launching 50 limited edition cases of Port (2 × 75cl) of its 1970 vintage port and the special 2020 edition.

• The NFT will provide the owner with a guarantee of authenticity which also comes with a host of utilities.

• Utilities include an allocation for the next vintage Port release and 6 free guided tours and tastings of the lodge.

• The cost of each NFT will be €3000

Please drink responsibly…but all jokes aside this is a new avenue of NFTs in a sector that hasn’t fully emersed in NFTs yet.

The advantage that the company highlighted is that Port has the ability to age over time so NFTs technology is well-suited.

What is clever about this collection is that there is a mix of vintage wine from 1970 and one from 2020 which in years to come will eventually be vintage so the NFTs can hold value for years.

The Port wine market has been valued at around $780m, and having one of the largest producers in the game adopt the technology demonstrates its clear use case outside of just cartoon JPEGs

Jack Dorsey Tweet NFT Goes To Auction

At a glance 🔎

• The 1st tweet from Jack Dorsey was turned into an NFT.

• It was purchased by an individual for $2.9m back in 2021.

• The individual estimated that the NFT would be worth $48m by now.

• The current top bid on the item stands at 2 ETH ($3700)

Not quite the $45.1m gain that the purchaser, Sina Estavi, was hoping for but an important lesson is to be learnt.

At the time of the purchase, NFTs were in a whole different world, PFPs were flying off the OpenSea counters with projects with next to no utility going for double-digit ETH.

Ahead of the next bull run, whenever that may be, you should be aware of how quickly trends can change.

At the end of the day, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay but it may be worth considering how many people would be willing to pay that sum.

Nevada Woman Sentenced For Bitcoin Hitman Plot

• Kristy Lynn Felkins, a Nevada woman, was sentenced to five years in prison for hiring a hitman using Bitcoin to kill her ex-husband.

• Felkins paid 12 Bitcoin (worth $5,000 then, $360,000 now) to a scam site, Besa Mafia, which claimed to offer murder-for-hire services but never executed the plan.

• Despite her intentions, Felkins’ ex-husband was unharmed, and she expressed gratitude that the website was a scam and no harm came to him.

Sometimes NFTs don’t have to be of the highest value to show there is a demand for them.

Nostalgia can prove to be a huge factor in the success of a project as well as a loyal Web2 community and this is exactly what has happened here.

Kartoon Studios launched the Stan Lee Digital Collection, which consisted of 8294 Stan Lee NFTs, on the 18th of July and it sold out almost immediately raising $120,000 in revenue.

The price to mint the NFT was $15 and now the collection is ranging from $81 to $749.
